maybe it was just my video cards drivers messed up that made it choppy. here is a video with the suction cup mount on kid1620's airbox. its kid of bouncy but not terribly bad and its in 1080 if you go to youtube.

Yeah, I know. I just have this time problem. I don't have a lot of it to spare, so when I get the chance to either wash it or ride, I go ride. I can't see the wheels when I'm moving, so I don't much care.

Here's one I spliced together of a few. Youtube took forever to finish this, I was going to post it yesterday. It's all 1080.

Man I could've went faster on some of those turns. That's for showing us that road d_adams

Not very creative but this location worked fairly well. I get the staccato effect in 1080 so I must have a cheap memory card.

I have some raw footage but haven't been able to edit yet (only have Windows Movie Maker and it doesn't recognize the .MP4 format). Also youtube only allows 15 minute video uploads??

Maybe someone can eduate us.. free edit software available- best to use, etc.

you can do longer than 15 mins if you verified your account. when you click upload there is a message saying click here for more time or something. then it asks your phone number and it texts you a code to type in so they know the account is under your control. i just used my work phone haha.

Sorry for the thread jack iman501..

Figured it out.. Kind of long but shows the entire Tail of the Dragon (US 129) from the NC side from Fugitive Dam to the TN side turn around by Chilhowee Lake.

Check out the 18 wheeler at about 2:15. This is the kind of "obstacle" you have to be ready for.

Also- Just a little bit of TOD rider etiquette. If you are tooling along, don't be a f'n tool. If someone behind you shows you a wheel or you see or hear someone coming up behind you move over and wave the guy by so he doesn't have to cross the double yellow lines to pass. (5:30)

dont mean to thread jack but..

DaveXB12r is that a custom radar mount or purchaed? correct on assuming its a Passport 8500?

I'm cool with it!, some cool videos!!!, does anybody have one mounted on their tail of their bolt/1125? Im curious to see if that position makes for a good spot or if all you dan see is the riders back?

Bossanova, I think some of that 'staccato' you referred to is a combination of a couple things, but one of them may be where you mounted the camera. There's so much vibration right there. I have a go pro and have found mounting it on me minimizes some of that, not all but some. But those locations on the bike are pretty damn cool.

Might play with some settings as well. Sometimes that HD resolution on the goprpo is a little bit of a curse as well as it's just trying to capture so much detail, its processing all of that detail between the vibrations. Lot to take in.

May or may not kill it completely, but might help a little.

And what the hell was that truck doing coming around a blind curve like that? Crazy!
