Thanks Netty-
Yeah I just stuck it up there and turned it on. I didn't mess with any settings but been told there are better resolution settings. The display screen is fn hard to see so I even rode around a couple of times thinking it was on but wasn't- missed a bunch of good footage on Hwy 28 following friends.

So what are the best sd cards for these things? I just picked one up on ebay (probably the cheapest).

Still experimenting with locations (ok that’s the only place I tried lol) but there is "some" inherent wiggle in the mounting system that I didn't like. I’ll try on my helmet next time. Thanks for the info.

The trucks try to sneak across 129 early in the morning. They have to swing wide to make the corners and occasionally get stuck on the switchbacks. There are big signs warning the truckers on the NC side but don't recall seeing them when you approach from the TN side.

Just got one of these from my girlfriend [up] woohoo. So the question is, helmet mount, or bike mount??? I'm so stoked to use this but we're going in to winter here in Colorado [mad] I also need to figure the best mounts for my dirtbike and my Subaru...

So, just to make sure I got this...There are levels of SD cards? Get a higher number and its better recording quality right? Do places like BestBuy have these?

Never ever buy flash memory from a store. Order that **** online.

www.newegg.com

Stores charge double what it really cost.

To answer your question, yes the larger the better but what gopros are picky at are the speed of the sd cards. Or the "Class" you will see the standard is class 4. You want to best video without it being choppy or to prevent the gopro just not even recording at all to the card, get a class 10 card. The read/write speed is super fast and can allow the gopro to write to the card without messing up.

I had a 32gb class 4 card and i had to trade my mom her 16gb class 10 card cause the class 4 card couldnt write fast enough for the gopro so my videos would be choppy or it just wouldnt record.

Hey guys, wanna see what you thought of these mounting locations before I stick the mounts for good (strong 3M adhesive)

Other ideas? Don't really wanna do helmet mounts...

Well if you have a firebolt do not mount the camera upside down on the. Bottom of your front fairing! When you hit hard corners and such you forks compress, and put pressure on the camera case, and eventually open it while you are riding, causin your camera to fall ou and slide across the pavement and scratching everything up....then once you realize it's missing you have to backtrack and hope you find it....

I did find it...

Yea..., te lens is still good, and it works and all still, but the camera has road rash and the backing for the battery doesn't really work like it should...
