cracked my cherry bomb flyscreen, hard lesson there. dont use power driver to install plastics!called local HD they said no longer avalible. then called HD shop i bought bike from they said obsolete.posted a message about it was told obsolete.went on line with a shop in Libertyville Il.ordered part at 20% less then HD book price $56.80 to be exact and received it today! took 4 weeks but its all good with me. oh also got RSS for $40.72 with same order. these plastic parts have date stamps molded into them from 8/17/10

This is the 3rd or 4th post I've read in the past month or so that the HD dealer has claimed "obsolete part". Is there no way we as Buellers can force thier hand and make them supply Buell parts for the seven years that they are obligated to by law? I know it would be an uphill battle, but there should be something we can do if we stand together! But then again if we think it is bad now, just imagine what it will be like when HD moves to China. I think I see the writing on the wall.[sad]

That's a great question raz, I know we have some lawyers here on the forum. Maybe someone can do some pro bono work to help us with parts.

I would just like them to pay attention to us. My first thought was class action lawsuit, but that could be a double edged sword. It would get there attention, but in the financial crisis HD is in, if won it could very well put them out of business. That would not do any of us Buellers any good! I can tell you that I am buying all the used spare parts I can because I feel that HD will not be around much longer if they continue to do business as they are doing now.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but think it would be amazing if EBR took off and started producing parts for the older bikes once they had some extra cash flow to play with.

I just won a lemon lawsuite against them maybe i can bring them back to court for parts availability that would be awesome by the time i get done with them maybe ill end up with a free bike.

one of the things that i pointed out in my post is both of these parts are mold dated the RSS was made 7/10 and the flyscreen 8/10 I placed my order on 8/3/10 so this is not old stock these parts were just produced . so are parts are still being made our dealers and HD does not want to deal with the Buell line.
