This is awesome! I thought I had alot of miles on my 03 xb, but 14k mi. is nothing compared to some of u guys. Def. Great to know these things last.

I'm currently at 24,510kms now.... not bad since my last update 12months ago of 13,647kms.

14000 miles and counting

got it late last June as part of my fathers day present :D:D:D with 8k miles on it (Best fathers day present EVER!!) and in the remainder of the short Michigan summer plus our late blooming summer this year have put on 6k It will be one year since I got it the week after fathers day.

not bad for commuting and a little fun here and there I think. Ill have a lot more soon if I can find the time to go to homecoming. :D

as for the miles you can get out of one
I think you would need a new top end after a while regardless of the fluids you use because the rings and jugs will wear down eventually but when my bike gets to that point I am just going big bore with it and riding some more [smirk][up]

2534 miles on my 2003 xb9s not to bad since i just bought it a month ago with 2200 miles.

I've put more than 21000 miles on my 2007XB9CityX in less than two years, and my girl friend has over 7000 miles on her 2009XB9CityX in just over one year.

'06 12X bought new in Nov '05 - 96,000km - engine still original. [up]

'09 12XT bought new in Nov '09 - 4,800km.

They can do do decent miles if you look after them.

20,150 miles on an 06 XB9SX. I put 3100 on it this year already since the first week of March (Wisconsin) and 6600 in less than a year. I picked it up last year June 10th with 13,500 on it. Less than a year and I put a new set of tires on it already. Angel ST's, just came back from a scrub run to get the release agent off them, and retorque the axles. Hopefully the rain will hold off at Road America.:):):D:D

06 Uly Bought it with 3200 Kilometers in 07, now has 32,000 kilometers. Planning road trip to vegas in July, from central Alberta Canada. Can't wait

what most people dont take into account, in my opinion, is that harley davidson's technology has allowed their engines to go for WELL over 100,000 miles. my mom has a vrod and it has 50,000 and my dad has a cruiser and it has a lot of miles also. its the same pistons and technology and everything else in the buell engines, i rolled over 13000 just the other day, and will be doing a thorough 10000 mile service on my own. THEN waaaaaay later down the road if i do run into problems ill just do a rebuild, have the block remachined and new internals and be good to go for another round.....believe me, these engines last a long time, its a fact

I have a'06 Ss with 41000 miles bought new in Oct of '05 and an '09 Uly with 16000 miles bought new in Oct '09 just after the shutdown.

whats up with all this kilometers bullshit?!?!
[up]
We need a thread for most miles without engine ever being worked on.
I bought my 2005 xb12scg with 5700 miles on it and I now have 33,000 MILES without any mechanical failures.
One clutch cable and one headlight.[up] Way to go Harley Davidson. Oh yeah good frame there too EB.
