Who rides both S & R?

Ok this bugs me a little, ok actually a lot.

My 08 12R runs great, AFV about 98%
Friends 07 12S runs good, AFV 110%

Ive been repairing hers a lot recently, so i get to ride it, also when we go on rides ill steal it for a lap or 2 for ***** and giggles, change it up. I dont know if its faster in acceleration but the thing feels super strong compared to my R, front end floats up with easy, pop wheelies in 2nd with ease, the R does it but takes quite a bit more effort. I understood these bikes should be pretty comparable engine, weight, power, gearing...but the difference is pretty annoying. Makes my R feel like a dog -.- any input on this?

My girl has an 06 XB9SX and I've got an 05 XB12R, I noticed it on the ride home alone. It's all seating position for the most part.

I got a 05 xb9sx with the crossroads....before.....pulled easy.....after you gotta tug alittle.....i rode my buddies r....no front float......but when i put the xroads i also put a stabilizer on......I wont ever change....love the bike...its a workout and i love it!

I have both..it's mostly seating[up]

I think that seating plays the difference in pulling up easier or harder.
