Just bought my first Buell a few weeks ago. Been waiting for 16 years since I sold my Sporty when we started having kids. She isn't perfect but she is mine. She has some scuffs from "being dropped". Looks more like laid down at low speed. Two questions for you all. First, I would love to hear suggestions for good rides in the Crowley/Burleson area. Second, when I flip my kill switch on my fuel pump starts but now it doesn't kick off before I start her up. Instead it sounds like it just runs slower. I have read on the forums that this could be chaffed wires but I have never pulled a fuel pump. Any suggestions for a good mechanic in the DFW area?

mriulvr, you could call up The Flying Tire. They're in Ft. Worth, ask for Jeremiah. He rides a Lightning and is HD/Buell certified (amongst other certs.)

I honestly haven't been on a ride in quite a while. I plan on doing a few real soon. I usually ride west of Cleburne, but I go everywhere. Are you close?

SilveradoTX, thanks for the contact. I have heard so many mixed reviews of HD dealerships working on Buells. Glad to find a mechanic who not only works on them but rides one.

Dogwood, glad to know there are more of us around. I have only been in TX for about two months and haven't seen any others on the road. I have done a couple of rides down through Cleburne.

Been here my whole life. Used to cruise around on a Raven R6 a few years ago. Now the firebolt. Has amber screen and red peg mounts with black everything else. Are you in Boerne?

There are a couple of real good places in San Antonio. Keith Hertell at Road and Track for suspension but he can do anything you need. He just rebuilt my suspension on my 1125CR and replaced the stator with a rebuild from Rick's in California. Also CycleRider in the same area is a pretty good mechanic's shop and sell some decent used bikes.

I'm known around these parts as " The Buell Stalker". If i see a Buell or pass one on the road I WILL make a u- turn and follow until we meet. Drives my wife and kiddos nuts !
