Who's going to Bike Week?

I'm thinking of heading to Daytona for bike week. Anyone here going? If so, what's your plan?

I've never been, so as of right now I'm going to wing it. I'll pack my camp gear & try to find a place to call home for a few days.

Anyone familiar with the event, please chime in with tips & suggestions!

From Daytona, I'm going to ride to the Keys and hope to camp a night or two. Then back to Naples, Fl.

I have your bike in a 08 version. I am planning on going to bike week. Always do. I live in Melbourne Fl. I've always went for the day and went home late.

I usually always make a trip over at least once. I come from the Orlando area.
Wish I could give you some info but I either stayed at a hotel in the past or rode home the same day.
As far as planning a schedule I've always just winged it.
I'd be up for meeting up with some fellow buellers so keep us informed of y'alls plans.

Hey firefight, that campsite is in the center of the track? Is it just a taped off area or what? I would definitely be up for camping out, but I don't know if there is no showers or anything...

Alien did you have your plans yet?

If it were to be friday I don't get off work until 5 so probably wouldn't be there until ~8. So saturday would probably be better for me. Still not 100% sure if I want to go though, but I'll keep an eye out on here and might do it. My father in law and I were planning on going to the daytona 200, so maybe he'd be up for camping as well...

Alien would you want to go up there on Monday and camp the night. I could wait for you to get to Melbourne and ride up together from here on Monday. I would prob go home Tuesday unless there is one hell of a party. My camping equip is all packed.

I have never been during the week but the crowds should be much less.

I'm going also for the first time. I don't know what to expect, but happy to wing it!
When your there, do you ride around or walk around? I like my beer[up] but not with riding[down]. I'll be there mid-week for a couple days, my schedule's open.

You can ride around as the events are scattered all around Daytona and Daytona Beach. Also at Rossmeyer's MC shop. We ride to a event, park and walk. A lot of walking! Main Street is the place to be at night to watch the stream of bikes and babes and weirdos

I reserved a campsite in the keys for the 17th & 18th. So if I head to Daytona it will likely be for the 15th & 16th. If anyone is there already & wants to go halvsies on whatever campsite you might have, let me know. On the morning of the 17th I'll head down to the keys.

Ok, I reserved a camp site at the above campground for March 14 and 15. It should be big enough for several tents.

I will be heading up with the kids on the 9th for the supercross. Taking the car that time, but coming back on the Buell on the 15 and staying in the infield tent area till Sunday.

I'll be riding up on Fri the 15th. It will be my first bike week where my bike hasnt been in pieces. Still have no exhaust but screw it, I gotta ride!

I'm about to head over possibly going to stay out there and head back tomorrow afternoon so if any Buellers are heading over or there and wanna meet up let me know on here.

Make sure you go see some racing, thats what its all about. Supercross, flat track and road racing. There are acouple of EBR's running so thats great. Bike week started as a racing venue. No disrespect intended but after you have seen one black t-shirt, blinged harley parked outsde a bar, does 100,000 more really make it better?
