After doing a little christmas shopping I came back to my bike to find the left mirror sitting on my seat (I have the 1125 mirrors on my XB), I then noticed a bent handle bar, and a snapped shifter peg. No note or anything! I don't think I will be doing any riding to stores much anymore. I walked up to a lady taking pictures of her kid sitting on my bike last month!!! Anyways, if anyone has any of these parts let me know.

i came out of a 7-11 store and there was a guy showing his kids my bike. one kid was grabbing my front tire and rocking the bike back and forth the other kid was about 2 seconds from grabbing the (very HOT) front header pipe before i stopped him. you are right, people treat bikes differently.

at least your bike was standing back up! i have walked out to my bikes on their side with hundreds of people staring at them with no consideration to pick it back up. it sucks to know that someone knocked it over and didnt want to fess up but they could have left it there laying down. sucks man sorry to hear that!

I never park in "general population" for that reason. I'll risk the ticket and park on a sidewalk if there isn't bike specific parking.

on my old bike, I had parked in a parking garage in front of a camera and some ass took a knife across my seat and gave me three nice slits all the way across. and they wouldn't let me see the tapes because according to the security office the video gets recorded over after three hours.

Im the same way Ill find a sidewalk where no one walks through and park it there. Had a kid grab my pipes when I was in a walmart and the dad waited to bitch at me cause his kid burned his hand, The kid had to really walk out of the way to get to my bike. Would of liked to hit the guy But it pissed him off more that I didnt really react to anything he said.

Sorry to hear that ecan. On my truck, I never really sweat the marks and scratches it accumulates over the years. But if I found any damage to my bike, I'd probably have to be restrained before I hurt someone.

only time I've ever noticed people messing with my firebolt, was over the summer when I drove it to work, I parked it by one of the dorms and walked over to my research tower, when I went to lunch a bunch of kids attending a soccer camp were gathered around it with one sitting on it. so I casually walked over, stopped in front of my bike and stared at the kid sitting on it. he got off after seeing the key in my hand, I popped my seat and took my hat out of the storage under the seat, put it back on the bike and gave a big smile while I turned and walked away. the response I got was "nice bike", so I just kept walking and said I know. I'm guessing the kid was saying it was his bike to the little crowd gathering and I ruined his charade when I showed up with the key. I had quite the laugh with my coworkers while we ate lunch and made fun of the kids. I'm generally a big teddy bear kind of person, but I apparently have the dfwm look when I stare or so I've been told.


I've also had notes left on my bike from various acquaintances, but I don't consider that messing with it

bummer, it'll probably happen again if you ride enough. I watched a lady knock over a bike of mine when my bike and her car were the only vehicles in a huge parking lot.

i has so many retards mess with my stuff i dont use them much anymore ,the top of my list...
1.i parked my bike if front of my glass shop window so i can see it when i work,a lasy and her litter of kids were climbing on it and scratching it almoast tipping it over. i went out to tell her to keep her kids off and she yelled at me saying she would call the cops.
2.i stoped at a store to pick up milk with my bike and a guy backed into me and ran me over while i was still on it,then he got out with his 3 kids watching and wanted to beat me up for some reason..the cops were called and no one showed up.
3.i had to wait for 4 hours at the dmv ,i went out to check my bike and there was a kid sitting on it playing with his dad touching everything,i stoped him and asked to show some respect,he got in his car after telling me off and bumped my bike but i cought it,after that i moved it in a safe spot at the end of the sidewaly out of the way in a corner blocked by a fence..i cam out of the dmv found a $100. ticket on it and i just stoped it from being hooked up to a wrecker. people suck[mad]

Well just got done reading all your interesting stories and thinking to myself what I would have done and what balls people have touching your bikes. Up here in Maine god help the person I catch on my bike, They probley should just take off on it if they do. I've had words with a few but only from standing near it or grabing the levers or stupid shit like that. But on the other hand it pisses my sisters boyfriend off when poeple are around the Buell and not the big hardley road king . You dont see people wanting to sit and touch that thing.

Wow, all ths is unbelievable. I have come out of a store only to find little kid footprints and messy fingerprints on my tank before. That was even on my Harley. The thing that blows me away is you never know who you are dealing with anymore. What if it was a Banditos or Hells Angels bike, I know some of those guys will all but kill you for touching their bikes. You are a complete idiot if you mess with someones bike in this day and age.

I had an asshole back into my bike once. Knocked it over broke a passenger peg, scraped up my bar ends. Someone saw it and left me a note with the guys license plate. Got him for all the dmg, almost sued his ass for being such a dick about it.

But on the + side of someone fucking with your bike, iv come out of stores with numbers tucked into my seat before.
