I bought mine for three reasons. I was crazy about about the looks, the price was right, and it had a 2 year warranty.

To piss the wife off ! She told me if I sold my car I could get a motorcycle so I did , what a BEOTCH !!!!

Mine's a Ulysses XT. Got it for curve handling, 2 up riding, touring, and I like having something different than everyone else. The Uly is awesome for all of these.

Dragon-----saw your pics , I've never seen a Uly lean like that ! AWSOME !!!!! [up]

I wanted to be different. Period. I wanted a sport bike that was loud and different. i hate fitting in with the crowd

I saw my first one when a preppy guy at our church had one, he had a lighting with a race kit, and it thought it was the most bad ass thing I had seen. I lived with my grandparents and they wouldn't allow it until I moved out on my own, so I moved out at 19 and started looking, started off with a blast because i wanted something that didn't matter if it was totaled cause it only cost me 1k, and a few months later I got my bolt, now 2 wrecks and many many mods later, I will never part with my bolt.... no matter what! I would get ride of my car first and live on the street. I got the bolt because of the looks, low maintence, and because, I mean look at 'em, they are totally bad ass and why would you want a bike that you will see everywhere!?

I saw a guy in fatigues on an XB12S and I instantly fell in love to me it beauty and art in motion. I had to have one. Truely awesome since I live in the Land of Gixxers and cookie cutters.

Firesale price.  Plain and simple.

Me too. The bike "needed" me. It was a leftover '07 in fall '09. All the 1125s were flying out of the dealership with the incentives, followed by the Ulys. The air-cooled bikes were sitting; particularly this one.

Now, having said that, none of that reflects how I feel about the bike now, or how much fun it's been.

I got a Buell cause I wanted an American bike and a bike that is unique. Bought it full price (minus a small military discount) 3 months before the shut down announcement and the firesale, but I could care less, would have paid double if I had to.

The Buell is different in every aspect of desigen, from the ground up.I will never buy anything that is run of the mill.I have a tattoo on my wrist,N.B.I. which means never blend in.Always fight for the unique.

They are simply put the best bang for the buck!

Always liked them and was interested in them but had other bikes. Finally the super low price convinced me in February of 2010 and i got 09 XB12R. I was hooked and sold my CBR1000. Now i got 2 Buells, couple of months ago i got another one, a 2000 M2.
