Why did you buy your Buell?

Well although we own several bikes I hadn't had one of my own for over a year since I sold my old sabre, and then I didn't get a graduation present fr my parents because I got sick around graduation and spent some time in the hospital that kinda drained there funds a little, so the past winter my dad told me he was going to get me a bike again for the spring. We started looking and I wasn't sure what I wanted. I had always enjoyed the unique styling of Buells and even looked at a few blasts a few years back when I turned 16 and could upgrade from my old 250, but they seemed small then. So we looked at some cruisers, particulary Suzuki intruders and some old sportsters, then there were some good ninjas and I took a look at a cbr because I'd wanted one for a long time but it was much worse of shape than the owner said, then one day my dad text me a picture of a bike and goes "does that work for you?" I said yeah it looks awesome, and he just says good because I got it for you haha so that's how I got my xb9s and I love it, it's been a joy to ride, plenty of power to keep up with my dad and his friends on there standards and easy to kill them in the corners. And it's been a joy to work on and customize some to make it my own.

got tired of the dedicated riding position of those "crotch rocket, rice burning, every Tom, Dick and Harry has one, wannabe racing bikes"...besides this says it all...

I was a H-D rider. I rode a 93' XL883 that was bored out to 1200, worked heads, SE ignition, 2 - 1 exhaust etc. I bobbed it, then put the mid controls on with a set of 1200R bars. I was about to look into converting it to a cafe to try to make it more of a "rider's" bike, but realized that after several hundred dollars I would still have a 500lb XL that didn't handle like an XB. Sold it, bought my XB12s on Ebay for $4000 and never looked back.

For the chicks - Chicks dig it. Now, just don't tell my wife.

Always wanted one since I first read about them in a motorcycle magazine 26 years ago when I was in the navy. I took some reading material for patrol and came across an article about Erik and Buells. Liked the technology and wanted one. About a year ago I was looking for another Triumph and saw this XB9SX calling to me. I had to have it. After a few weeks of test riding and discussing the purchase with my wife, it was mine. Best bike I had, and its different.

I bought my buell kind of on a whim. Been lookin at the for years finally had the guts to take the plung! And it wasnt even that bad! Got a '10 xb9xs for 7500 bucks with 300 miles on it :). Will never regret getting it I love my buell!!!!! Everything about it!!! Love the naked look love the the torque of that badass v-twin! Just simply love it!

Every d-bag on the block has a gixxer or an r6/r1. How many Buells have I seen on my rides? 3.

I love the corners, not just the straightaways.

Every man/woman/child between the ages of 5 and 85 have gone out of the way to tell me that my bike "looks really cool" or "is really badass." -- no seriously. Last month some dude saw me in the grocery store with all my gear on and asked me "what bike is that parked outside?" Apparently him and his buddies thought it was badass. It's nice not being a carbon copy of the rest...

I wanted my a Buell because it isn't the bike to have like all the other common bikes that are out there. I saved my pennies for a good amount of time and when I was almost able to pay cash for one it seemed all my friends were getting bikes so it worked out well. I told most of my friends what I was getting and almost all of them said why??? My only justification was it is what I like and want mean sounding and looks perfect not full fairing. I even told a friend that I wanted one and he went out and got one shortly after that(he got his before I got mine), which forced me to intensify my hunt and I got my bike shortly after that (09 Firebolt).

I was wanting to get a bike because my roommate has an R6 and my ex-girlfriend had an 09 XB12R Firebolt that sat in my garage for 5 months. I kind of just fell in love with the looks on it and it grew on me. I also believe in buying American and still wanted a sports bike. About the only thing out there is a Buell for a good price. Decided to pull the trigger and bought mine in May. The uniqueness of having a Buell is nice. Everyone and their mom has a GSXR or R1/6 and it's nice to have something different.

great value for the money, uniqueness, best sound in all of motorcycling, bomb proof if ridden sensibly, easy to maintain, NO F'in valve adjustment intervals, great looks, cheap maintenance parts, comfortable, torque monsters, looks!
