from what i have heard and what i read the buell ecm is a learning ecm. with that if i put a wide band o2 sensor in will the ecm learn and automatically tune to the new O2 sensor? I have installed a K&N filter,A Jardine F1 pipe, and a breather by-pass. bike runs very strong in the early morning hours and then in the afternoon heat bogs out under 4000 rpm. my assumption is that its really not to far off.on another note my fuel milage has dropped dramatically,in my eyes that sends the messege of a rich condition not a lean condition you would expect with the changes i have made.anybody have some input on this would be greatly appreciated

You could plug in a WB O2 + controller and run it with the stock ECM, but you'd have to set it to emulate NB signal range for the ECM to use corrections properly and not throw a code for O2 failure. The ECM understands an O2 voltage range of 0-1 V (approximately), while the WB's native output is 0-5V. You can see how that would cause an issue. Purchasing an LC-1 + WB O2 will allow you to emulate a NB signal, but that wouldn't be of any value to your bike's running conditions, unless you used the WB O2 to remap the fuel, in which case it provides much cleaner data.

Your assumption may not necessarily be correct. If you experience significant bogging down, your fuel values may be quite a margin off.
