I noticed a weird thing the other day. My tail light is on but when I press either the front or rear brake it does not get brighter like a brake light should. I am running a LED unit in there so its not a burned bulb. Im running that same LED unit in my other XB with no problems. I then cleaned and checked my connections in the front and back.. nothing. All fuses having to do with lights are good. Any Ideas?

Sounds like something is either a
miss with your brake light unit or both your brake switches have managed to go out at the same time. Sounds crazy but you never know. Anyway should be a simple voltage check with a multi meter.
Or you could pull the switch, from the front brake lever of the bike with properly working lights, and swap it out on the bike that is not working. At least then you can rule out the switch.
Not too much work either. One little connector and one Phillips screw under the brake lever.
That's just a thought. And something I would try since I don't have a multi meter.

ok guys, with your help I got it sorted, I tired switching the led bulbs and witching wires around this is what the deal was. The back of my brake light housing is different on this one than my 9Sx, the rubber boot on the back of it were the connectors to the bulb are were missing. one of the little copper clips was pulled back off that nipple on the base of the bulb and it was not getting a good connection, bent the copper connection and the rear brake started activating the light .. but not the front brake. So I disconnected the front brake light switch at the front lever and turned it upside down and plugged it in.. It worked! Looks like I had it in there upside down after my took my front end off. Its all sorted out now , thanks guys.
