will not start, Help!!!!

Ok so I finally just finished putting in a voltage regulator and a stator. Upon installing the voltage regulator, the positive wire shorted out the main 30amp fuse thanks to the help I had. Anyway I put a knew fuse in and now the bike will not start. The lights and gauges work when I turn the key on but I get no humm from the fuel pump at all and when you push the start button nothing happens. The only thing that is on my mind is that it could be the diode. Before all of this the bike ran fine other than when the regulator went.

does it crank but not start or when you push the start button it does nothing.

It does nothing. turn the key on and the lights and gauges work, but there is now fuel pump sound and the starter doesn't make any noise when you press the button.

could also be the ignition relay you could check them with a ohmmeter. Did you check all the fuses? Kill switch on (Ive done it myself).

check all the fuses be sure you didn't pinch any wires in the pulley cover is everything plugged in?
