Will the bike run with the instruments removed?

For track days I would like to remove the instruments. Will the engine run okay with them disconnected?

yup had mine off for like 2 1/2 years now

Thanks. I didn't want to find out it would trip a fault during my first session on the track.

Why would you remove it? The only benefit i can see is to stop the odometer...

One less thing to get smashed on the track.

I'll be changing the fairing stay with a used repaired one for track days already, so I might as well leave it off. Along with the original plastics, mirrors, turn signals, and headlights.
