So I'm putting this up here to add to, possibly remove things, but mostly to remind myself in public of what I want to do to my bike this winter.

So it begins:

Hawk Muffler (on its way)
header ceramic coating
EBR ECM (done)
K&N air filter (done)
Cure oil leak(s) (need gasket kits)
Gauges:
oil pressure
oil temp
volt
ammeter
Lithium ion battery
LED turn signals
tires (touring)
EBR Racing decals on airbox plastic - remove Buell logo

different windscreen?
rock bashin gaurds from touratech?
5-0dro pulley cover?
5-0dro axle sliders?
Uly comfort kit?
GPR steering stabilizer?
just some thoughts... those r actually some of my plans including the ebr ecm and k&N that u mentioned

Good thoughts but I already have most of them - Madstad windscreen, 5-0 pulley cover and sliders, its an 08 so it has the comfort kit on it already.

I had also considered HID's but I'm not convinced I want to put an HID on - certainly not for the high beam. ZTL2.... I hadn't even considered. Any issues with upgrading I need to worry about?

usb port for ipod/gps/phone. great to have, easy to do. maybe frame grip pads? comfortable and help with the heat.

no list for the bikes this winter........ 1st one in 4 yrs :D

Time to snow board, hit the gym, maybe do some mountain biking. Only "work" will be installing a new sound system in my Toyota Tundra.

Comfort kit came on 2010 bikes. I think HIDs are a must. You could never have too much light. The ZTL2 system has no down side except for increase in cost of pads.

^^and weight [up]

You want HIDs. Trust everyone on here who has them and will never go back to halogens. Ddmtuning.com is the place to get them slim ballasts with a lifetime warranty for $30/pair you can't beat that with a stick.

i've found that lithium ion batteries in any bike are complete waste of a ton of money. even most alleged experts in the field of cycle batteries seem to agree that lead acid and AGM batteries perform nearly as well with great lifespan for a ton of less money. or so i'm told.

unless ur bike is a garage ornament... lithium batteries lose energy sitting on the shelf very slowly as compared to lead acid;) i know thats totally pointless information:D

The comfort kit did NOT come on the 2010 models stock. They do have a slightly larger right scoop, but it is still significantly smaller than the one included in the comfortkit ( I have a 2010 XB12Ss)

My list

K&N filter (already have it)
Go through the tuning class from the octopus
New bars (havent really figured out which ones yet, I want black with no cross bar, taller and less sweep than the stock bars suggestions would be appreciated)

Maybes
ASV shorty levers in all black
Rizoma mirrors
XB Dashboard
Trunk bag

I'm due for a battery anyway - so I'm leaning towards the li-ion... and cost isn't really a concern.

SO... gaskets. I've been poking around and can't seem to find a match. Will need upper and lower for an 08 XB12XT - and all I can seem to find so far is for up to an 07 XB9... what gives?

You should call your favorite HD/buell service center for part numbers, then buy them from surdyke, lake shore, or chicago HD.

If you want Lithium, check out shorai. They're the newest in Lithium batteries. Newer than Li-ion

My buddy is a dealer, and if you want to buy from a cool small shop, order it from Iron Horse Corral, http://www.indianfenders.com

But remember, Lithium batteries don't like trickle chargers or constant power draws like LEDs
