Working on my wheelies

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

In my experience doing wheelies on my Uly, I clutch up at like 2500 rpm and she comes straight up. That's where the torque is. The higher the RPM's the harder it is to get up.

I don't touch the clutch to bring my buells up. The belt doesn't like it. All throttle and body position! Blip the throttle, close throttle (compresses forks), whack the throttle open and tug with your weight back, it flies right up every time.

LOL. The 1125 doesn't need preload. It just likes to look up.

Check out Craig Jones. He has a 3 video session where he explains everything. Youtube "Craig Jones School of Stunt". Just don't kill yourself practicing.

When you throttle up on the xb you need preload above 2nd gear. Throttling up is easier below 45mph, it's easier to clutch up at speed.

Just actually watched your video. Cool! I'll have to look at a few others later.

My old zx9r was the same as with goose's bike....crack it pretty good in first, let off and load the forks up and crack it back open and she would come right up about two feet. Haven't tried it w my bolt yet and never really knew how to wheelie w the clutch nor ride a long wheelie. My bolt will lift up a bit coming out of corners hard though....valentino style if I meant it....crapping my pants style if I didn't mean to do it. Lol

Sorry for the late reply, thanks to all for watching. I've tried the preload power wheelie but I'm in Colorado so ~15% power loss over sea level. I got a good one in today, brought it up a couple feet off the ground. I think with a tune I might be able to power it up. It comes up just so slightly when I shift it hard 1-2.
