**Would uneven fork fluid lean my front tire?**

almost, LOL, take some string and stretch it from tire to tire, make a loop around the front and pull it tight to the back, stretch your arms out, touch the string to front of the rear tire with both strings, look at the gaps, back of front and back of rear, if they are the same, you are close, definately not perfect, will only show gross misalignments

buelljek: this really is not that unusual. there are a ton of variables among bikes, tire manufacturers, riding conditions, riding styles, much more. suggestions above all good and i would add the following: check that spring preload adjustment same on both forks...stay off center of lane...we all tend to go faster thru left hand bends than right hand which accelerates left side of tire wear...has bike ever been dropped hard or crashed causing mis-alignment between front and rear wheels...and lastly check the front wheel bearings for play. just lift front wheel off ground, spin slowly and feel and listen for smoothness, and grab at 12 and 6 o'clock position and wiggle it. it should be tight.

Did you ever figure out a cause?  I've got the same Continentals with the same wear issue on the same side.

If it was the tires, were they under warranty or anything?

I don't have your answer, but is this your first tire change. Did the old one wear this way? If your old tire wore normal and your new brand wore uneven with nothing else changed, then its the tire not the bike.

This is my first tire change, and yeah I'm thinking it's specific to the tire. Which sucks because I just had these changed and they're worn almost flat on the left side already.

Have any of you had luck returning tires for defects like this?

I have never had to, but just go in there and be stern and professional, if no luck then raise a bit of hell, and keep persistent.

Someone on here might be of more help in this department

The guy in the shop there seemed pretty decent, but the management I don't have any experience with. They're like 45 minutes away, I'll give them a call and see what their warranty is like.

Sorry been forever fellas. This was first tire change on the buell, I've had several ninjas and hondas never been an issue. Had the shop square everything away and all was perfect. Simply just junk tires. M rear cont's wore on the side quicker than the center too. Won't be buying them anytime soon. Good luck!

No.

Some racers purposely have different oil setup. Theory being that short axle joins them so one fork does damping, other does compression.
