wrapped headers can get wet?

I wrapped my headers with blue wrap and it stayed blue all of 10 min. so i went and bought blue header paint and just painted the wrap blue. of course im not gona spray them directly but is it ok if the wrap gets wet. or if it gets engine cleaner on it cause i spray quite a bit on my motor when i wash my bike. harleys do leak a little or eventually.

yea, just let it sit a bit in the sun before you start it.

you'll have to maintain the wrap with a spray-can anyway.
