There is also this. The price is wrong on the site. It's 690. I inquired about it and some of the other FG shocks. Went with a Penske instead for my build. They told me 7-10 days lead time.

Edit: Lookin good!

I'm digging the open exhaust and the rear suspension! :p

It's looking good though [up] looks seriously wild I am anxious to see it finished. Good choice on the clubmans too.

I wonder if ebr has any SX headlight assemblies they would be willing to sell??..... Hint. Hint. Lol

I like the "tall boy". Everyone is going lower, going taller is refreshing and different. Good on you. This sucker needs some Continental TKC80's[cool].

Thanks for the compliments. The exhaust will be different. It's one I've wanted to do for a while. But some will like it while others will hate it.

You beat me to it. It will be getting those.

Hagon makes a shock for Buell without remote reservoir. Its 400 bucks. Nice start.
Thanks again for the suggestion on this one. I was looking for a 1" over length Ulysses shock with no external reservoir and a black spring. Hagon called me back today and said they could build it and at 469.00.

The guy I talked to is in California now and heading back to England this week. He said he handles custom orders there and will most likely be the one building it. It should be here in 3-6 weeks. After the conversation, I've no doubt it will turn out well.

Last week I worked on the brakes.
10688_20140728115507_L.jpg

The rear brake features a hidden Brembo caliper and master cylinder. The caliper came from a Ducati Monster M-750. The mounting bracket came from AmericanSportbike.com. The rear master cylinder is from a KTM SX-F 250. The reservoir is integrated. The whole unit virtually hides behind the heel guard. There is a write-up HERE. I've been rocking this setup on my other Buell for about a year now and really like it. I like both units together so they stay the same name brand and virtually disappear to really clean up the look of the rear end.

I also worked on the front brakes. I installed a ZTL2 caliper on the front. It's bolt on that's pretty straight forward. I didn't like how the stock master cylinder and reservoir looked like it stuck out there. So I went with a remote reservoir instead of integrated so I could move it back.

The master cylinder is a Nissan unit from a Suzuki GXSR 1000. One cool thing to note is the brake lever from the Buell was a direct bolt on to this unit with zero modifications. It even had the same play the Buell unit had. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Both units are made by Nissan.

The reservoir, hose and mounting bracket came from a rear brake on a Honda CBR-1000RR. The bracket was reshaped and tack welded to the handle bar. The hose simply needed to be rotated around and fit perfectly. I chose this reservoir instead of the Buell rear one due to the smaller size and mounting bolt location.

I'm not sure what I'll do this week on the bike. But I'll keep you posted. Be safe all!

[up] zing!

Ztl2 & uly suspension! dam, dumping money into that bad boy.

This week I received the rear shock from Hagon. And I picked up a Motogadget MotoScope along with the Buell bracket. I also picked up the M-Lock ignition as well.

My focus is now going to go under the air box cover for wiring and on the headlight.

I haven't been working on it for the past couple months. I've been filling orders for some drift trikes. I hope to catch up on it this project over the winter.
