Hi I just purchased a XB12R for my wife and she loves it but it definetly needs to be lowered since just the tips of her toes touch the ground right now. So I have heard a couple of ways of doing it on here and I know the best way to do it is to go spend the money on the whole xb12scg suspension but i've also heard of cutting the adjustment setting off the back and raising the forks on the triple tree. Wondering if anyone has done it the cheap way or if its a big no no, thanks any help will be appreciated.

If you cut the adjustment setting off, it will bottom out.

You can't slide the forks up in the trees hardly at all. There is a retaining ring that wont allow it to slide up.

Yeah I figured something like that would happen was just trying to look for a cheap way to do it but most of the time that never works out. I heard you are the person to talk to BuellPartsGuy so if you could verify that this is what I need that would be great and I can get this stuff ordered. By the way its an 04 XB12R.

Left Fork - J0121.1AE

Right Fork - J0122.1AE

Rear Shock - K0410.1AE

Kickstand - L1167.1AE

Thanks and I know this subject has been brought up before in another post but I just wanted to make I get the right stuff the first time.

You can drop the front forks about 1in. All you have to do is remove the stop ring (it was easy). You will need to get the Scg rear shock though, as the but sets pretty hi still. But I would start with lowering the front forks first (it cost nothing to try it). Then I would go from there.

[confused]Details/pics/diagrams on what you said firechickenXB9R?

I am interested in doing this but not quite shure what you mean. Thanks in advance
