XB12R Rear Break Switch

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum, I've found very good information on here and I do now have a question. How do you change the rear brake switch? I've done the front one before and very straight forward to do so, but for the rear one, i couldn't find where it's located.

Also, where do buy the switch?

Please help.

It's not your normal brake switch - it's #16 in the schematic below. Procedure can be found in the Service manuals via the link at the top of this page. May not match your exact year/model but the procedure hasn't changed.

Troy, dont be intimidated, i replaced mine and it was very easy!! 10 minutes.

Thanks! Where did you buy the part? Is it under the seat?

it is actually the banjo bolt on the rear master cylinder. located behind the rider brake side heal guard.
