xb12r and xb 12x bastard. BIG HELP

had my 12r since new, moved countries and its a pain to re register my bike locally and its been laid up. need new rear shock, new boots new battery and 1000euro for plates and papers... been offered a crashed xb12x uly for 2k with new battery, great shock, plates and papers AND new tyres (which have done 3yards, hence the crash) i want to xb the 12x (to keep frame and engine nubers from registered bike the same as on the papers) and use my 12r as donor. have been thinking all day since being offered this bike and i need some seiously good advice, quick. (p.s) i do all my own work, my 12r is putting out 109hp on dyno with minor mods and i won't let any body else touch my bikes here. (or anywhere actually) i havent baught the uly yet but i'll be parting with my cash monday if nobody comes up with something. and i'm never selling my 12r. i just want to get it or some bastard version of it back on the road asap and spite the thieving bastard beurocratic corrupt assholes i have to or otherwise cant deal with locally without bribing them.
 
sorry man, just pissed off with locals, i want to to use two bikes, xb12x frame, swing arm and engine, and transfer every thing else from my xb12r onto the xb12x if that makes sense?
 
So i'll end up with xb12r wheels, forks, shocks, rear subframe, fairings, yolks, rear sets, electrics, brakes clocks, ignition and electrics on an xb12x frame, swing arm and engine....

will it all fit or will it be shit?

Help.
 
#1 problem, your R subframe will not fit the X frame-tank without skilled adaptation requiring welding/fitting.. beyond that I believe it is do-able.. to be quite honest, I have never seen that combo attempted.

i've got access to a mig kit limited work shops at work, so i can fabricate minor mods.
 
I really mean thanks!! I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade and a reasonable fabricator but i've never bastardised a buell before (re-built a couple after crashes, new rings/pistions, crank gaskets etc for my friends) and i'm about to hand over 2k on monday for somthing i'm not sure is gonna work and i'm not on that much per month...
 
i'll post picks etc, you think the tail is the hard part? be honest!!! if thats all i gotta worry about i'm gonna get it.

i'm worred about rear sets fitting the frame. head stock angles on shorter forks, swapping 41mm forks and tripples for 43mm ones. longer uly rear shock making the rear end sit too high and too spongy... will my 12r engine fit the uly if i want to swap my 109hp for the uly motor while i re ring/piston and port it. (i thrash it to work every day) [confused]
