xb12ss headlamps

G'day all , i have just taken delivery of an 09 spec XB12SS long and noticed that when the high beam is switched on that instead of both lamps illuminating they just swap from left (hardwired on ) to the right (high beam).I asked a mate about it and he said that it was due to an australian design rule (possibly the lamps are too close together to meet local laws).Do the lamps in America both illuminate or are they the same as these in Australia.If in the U.S.A both light up does anyone know of any modification that can be done so both mine will work on high beam? cheers all

Same thing here in the states... I did a write-up on this in my first thread about my new '09
