XB9 v XB12

Good Afternoon all!

I sold My Cagiva Raptor last year, thinking i could live without a bike. Truth is i can't!

So in my search i've narrowed it down to the XB9S or SX and the XB12S My budget will get me a reasonable 06-07 plated bike. The Million Dollar question is which version to get?

This is why i'm throwing this open to all of you to hopefully give some constructive on both bikes.

Hopefully a few of you have ridden both or maybe own both. The only thing i need to tell you is at 5' 7" i'm not the tallest of riders, i know a different seat is available.

Just thought you could all give me some opinions.

I went with the XB12, and considered the XB9 as well. Decided on the 12 for weight and distance traveling. I've got the saddle bags, trunk bag, tank back, back pack, and my fat ass to ride around on...so the few more ponies I got out of the 12 only made more sense for me.

Same Question, Different Member: Buy a 9 or a 12?

There's some other threads on here lengthier than that one. From what I remember, there's not a whole lot of difference for those that have ridden both. (I haven't) The 12 has a little more muscle in the low to mid because of the exhaust valve, but nothing that aftermarket parts for the 9 wouldn't match. Thing is, if you get the 9, you'll always be wondering why you didn't just get the 12.

The 9 is actually slightly taller in seat height than the 12 also. Sounds like you might be better off getting the XB12Scg. It's lower seat height might be more fitting for you. Here's a comparison between the two: XB9SX compared to XB12Scg

I didn't realise the scg version has more horses as well. Bio, you are very right as well, if i get the 9 i'll know and we will all know that there is one out there bigger.
