My lady has an 03 xb9r and she's a little too short for it, I adjusted te rear spring and front to as low as possible, it's a little better but she could still use a little lower. Anyone know how to lower it? Something about swapping rear shock? Not sure if anyone knowes how too help I'd appreciate it!

Sure you could swap over to an SCG suspension.

I believe the diameter of your forks are the same as any SCG.
The rear shock will have a yellow spring as opposed to a blue one that is probably on your bike. It's a direct swap.
You would also need to swap over the SCG front forks. The forks will lower it the most. They are also a direct swap.
Don't forget the SCG kickstand.

The image above is from my 2 bikes. Don't let them fool you. One of the them was once an '04 Firebolt the other was a '10 Lightning. The suspensions directly interchanged.

You could do a swap with someone with an SCG suspension wanting to raise their bike.

Or you could do I have and purchase the parts. I think the forks and shock ran me around 330$.

if its a fire bolt slip the front fork and try and find a low shock.need to chop the kickstand also.

>>>> RT Performance....When slipping the forks, did u remove the C clip rings at the top of the fork? And did you reuse them or leave them out? Thanks..

man... adjusting the spring is not lowering the bike it is changing the suspension setting and the geometry. this needs to be set to suit your lady's weight etc first and foremost.

my lady is 5'2" and she rides a lightning. why? cause its the only real bike that you can find that is small and nimble with full adjustable suspension that could be set to suit her.

the solution... a Scg lowered bike. you guys are lucky as you can buy them off the shelf. we here have to convert ours.

see this vid etc below. we did this for my lady's buell and it took less than an hour.

she will love you tremendously if you dont do the short cut and do it right. confidence in teh equipment will inspire ocnfidence in the riding.

cheers,
