I took part in a charity run at the weekend and all was fine for the first 70 miles, we then stopped for half an hour for lunch. After restarting the run and riding around half a mile i applied the rear brake and it locked up on me unexpectedly, it then felt like i was riding on a flat rear tyre and the back end was weaving from side to side under me.
I stopped and the tyre was fine, the brake was also free so carried on but it was horrible. Turning into a corner at any speed feels like a grass tracker and is like the rear wants to come around or step out on me, the pressure in the tyre is fine and ive changed the rear bearings thinking it might be them sticking but it hasnt fixed the problem. I have today taken apart the rear caliper and cleaned everything up but this still hasnt stopped the problem. Nothing is obviously loose, there is no wheel wobble or strange sounds and under acceleration it seams to be fine but when i slow down or corner...........Any help would be greatly appreciated[confused]
