The headlight is between two ideas. I haven't said what I am doing yet sort of a surprise ;)

Here is a shot of the Speed-of-Color tank cover. Just hating the $422 price tag. Plus I still have to paint it, since it will come in primer.

Alright brandon i have to be blunt, your bike looks bad ass but i dont think you have hit the "military theme". At least when i look at it, thats not what i think. Possibly add some camo or use light green accents instead of red.

Bike isn't done ;), and by light green, I am using a splitter color that has a green/tan/silver color to it. Also even though it is "Military themed" I don't want a military bike. I just want the bike to have military touches not looking for .50 cal bullets or anything. It will pull together once the paint comes together. I hope anyway!

Here is another side shot with an old tank cover I have. It has cut outs already but it made me realize I don't want big scoops like the SOC air box. I need the cut outs but want to retain the smooth lines, so I will be going with an ASB CF air box w/cut outs.

Here is the pic also I noticed how little red the bike actually has it just seems like a ton when you look at the gauge area.

Haha, thinking I should, just went to order the CF one from ASB and the total was $430, WTF, they want $50 for shipping when I just mailed via FedEx a tank cover 2 days ago from MI to CA for $14 and ASB is located in CA so it would run the same if not less since they have a company account.

At that rate I might change my mind again........ Wish I was made of money, decisions would be much easier [smirk]

I would like to get a hold of Nichols from the forum who makes his own but havent been able to contact him.

I love ASB carbon fiber parts, really nice quality! But... their tank/airbox cover with the vent looks horrible IMHO. It's so randomly placed and the lines match nothing. If anything, get the smooth one and make/cut out the vents like your old one pictured above. I think yours flow much better then theirs!

~Mike....

Is the bike rideable yet? looks like you have atleast everything put together for it to function... just no headlights.

I sent Travis Nichols a facebook message in hopes to get a hold of him, I tried to contact him first through the forum and didn't ever think to look in his profile to see his FB page. I would like to get a hold of one of his covers.

But I have to get a hold of him first[smirk]

their tank/airbox cover with the vent looks horrible IMHO.

I wish they had a better picture of the cover for sure.

As for being ready to ride, I am waiting on a pulley tensioner, one of my ASV levers that I had to send back to get swapped out since it was a purplish color, still need to wire in the WB, and get the paint on.

Al from ASB just emailed me back said te site is wrong and shipping would only be $14.70.

Still waiting for Travis though.

Ball is rolling an I am having Travis make me an air box so it should be set to go in a week he said [up]

By then everything should be done and all body pieces will be ready for paint as well.

So I might just have about 2 weeks left until my bike is 100% :)

i just got my stator back from rewind will have the 1125 ridable tonight waiting for the front brake line on the xb and a hidden cailper i just bought from here.
Good thing your patient i so would cut a headlight and taken the blue air box cover and fairing to paint.
Have a few goodies coming from knight but there going to be a suprise [smirk]

Me, I want to see that airbox cover on it. Grab a photo when you do the trial fit.

For those wondering about the air box cover here is a raw part Travis had made up. He has to make mine but this is just a reference.

exhaust tip looks great

I was a bit worried when Randy said it was a 4" exhaust tip but the actual dim of the ID is closer to 2 3/4" just has a 4" OD.

The brushed stainless looks great, just a little worried yet that from a ways away it will look like a Coke can on the back. I still need to roll it out of the garage to get a distance view on the flow of the bike as I know it will be different than a 7ft view, like I am use to working on it in the garage.

The air box cover will be fiber glass no CF

Got these in the mail today, also picked up some more solder for my soldering gun so I will be wiring my WB in as well.

lol i bought the modified belt tensioner too... i gta lotta work ahead of me, but hell, u did more than im doin in a couple days! well see.. whats the second peice, somewhere around the belt?

Well got a couple parts on, going to jump on the brake lines and wiring the WB tomorrow, then get into finishing up on the body pieces to prep for paint.

Rolled the bike out of the garage, forgot to put on the right foot peg, but none the less here is what I have thus far.
