Glad you're okay! The problems you ran into could have been avoided if it was just one alone, but when you add them up it will end up bad. What we call a catastrophic failure. There is nothing you can do, because you don't see what's happening until it's too late. You will get the bike back to par, no need to worry. We take care of our own here, and that characteristic isn't going anywhere! Best of luck!
more than anything it's just annoying but I know it's not even close to my oil pump gear and subsequent cam failure this spring.
jake- I got that particular rss from a guy over on badweb, he noticed I didn't have one when I posted and just sent it to me like two or three weeks after I first got my bike.
there is so much knowledge and help I've gotten off of these forums I try to give back whenever I can. one of the reasons I put everything that happens to my bike on here is to help someone prevent some crazy catastrophe or just get someone back on the road. I'm glad the newer guys are keeping up with the pay it forward attitude that our older members have started with.
oh and if I randomly send anyone a pm about a post which may be erroneous I'm not trying to be a prick, but I think we've allseen the threads where someone basically outs themselves from the rest of the members on the board.I'm simply trying to give a heads up that you're probably going to be called out because no proof had been provided or it simply is ludicrous enough that everyone will know better.
I kind of went on a rant, but I know I've sent a few random pms to people about posts, and I figured now might as well be a good time to explain it a bit.
