Update: Motorcyclist in Fatal Collision Identified
Jesse Wilkes, 27, of Chatsworth was killed and a woman in a car was injured at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Devonshire Street in Chatsworth.

Update: 8 a.m. - April 28:

The coroner's office has identified the motorcyclist killed in a traffic collision in Chatsworth on Saturday afternoon. He was Jesse Wilkes, 27, of Chatsworth. An autopsy is pending.

Wilkes was killed when his motorcycle collided was with a silver Honda Civic at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Devonshire Street in Chatsworth, authorities said.

Sgt. Choy of the Valley Traffic Division told Patch a motorcyclist traveling eastbound on Devonshire collided with a Honda Civic traveling on Winnetka.

Two people were in the Honda at the time. One escaped without injury, while a female in the vehicle was transported to Northridge hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives were still making their way to the scene as of 4 p.m. Saturday and no further updates were available.
