Hi guys,

This is Mike from HighTechSpeed... just wanted to chime in on the thread so folks have my contact info and in case anyone has any questions.

Regarding the AIM show, I am bummed that people didn't find us... Zepto is the name of the product, our company name is HighTechSpeed. We were in Booth #609, right across from the Quad-Jetski combination thing, one row over from Yamaha. The booth was filled up with lights - and actually most of the lights are so bright that it's hard to see the product sometimes (like when someone shines a flashlight into your eye) - but we had an interactive set of Zepto lights installed in a glass case that you could press buttons and see them working, as well as three more sets mounted on a display on the wall.

One thing I just want to point out about the Zepto lights is the light output - their main feature. I looked at the Oberon lights and they look very nice. Very well machined and a top notch product all the way. I am sure anyone buying them would be happy. There is a massive brightness difference though. The Oberon lights use PLCC-4 SMD LED's which are the same ones we use in our Proton lights. Depending on the brand/model of LED, those LED's will put out 2 to 4 lumens each. With 8 per side (from what I can see on the Oberon), that would be about 32 lumens per signal. Brighter than many LED signals for sure.

The Zepto light uses three 2.5-watt Luxeon LED's that put out 185 lumens each. So each signal puts out over 550 lumens of light. For reference, most 1157 bulbs on high will output about 400 lumens of white light... and behind an amber lens, the light output will drop by more than half.

There is a comparison pic on our website of a pair of Zepto lights putting out about 10 times the light of an OEM Harley brake light. And actually, the yellow bike in the pics on our website is my Buell :) with the Zeptos installed on the front.

Everything is pretty much set up.

Here's how it's going to work - Mike is going to set up a coupon code as discussed above. It will become effective this weekend and run for two weeks. At that time, you may place your order for whatever color combination you wish (black/silver, amber/red) and your order WILL ship as soon as your order is ready. There is no requirement for final group buy numbers to be posted before orders are shipped. Generally orders ship within two business days from the email traffic with Mike.

Mike is shipping out two sets for me possibly as soon as tomorrow so that I can post a full review of them - this means I will also include a HD video of the lights - possibly a left/right comparison as well. I'll have to see if I can get the wife's camera to keep the aperture and shutter speed constant while shooting the video. I will definitely (100%) be able to get left/right comparison still photos for you guys!

I will post the new GB thread as soon as I get the coupon code from Mike (or he may post it himself). I will also be sure to PM each one of you interested with the coupon code.

In addition - the coupon code will work for all of your friends - meaning the coupon code will not be restricted to just buellxb.com users. I encourage everyone to spread the word and give these guys some good business - especially considering the price they are giving us!

From Mike:
"Also thought I'd attach a pic of our display @ the AIM Expo. I didn't think it was easy to miss :)

The Zepto lights (yellow) are in the glass case on the left (in running light mode) as well as 3 sets under the "T" in "HighTechSpeed" (on turn signal mode) on the right hand sign - they totally overload the camera and make it wash out. :)"

Well awesome deal!!

I'm all in.

I'm pretty big on things being bright :)
And the running lights are a giant plus!

Too bad they don't have a white running light or it wasn't illegal to run red on the fronts.

I wonder if Mike can make that happen...?

I'll shoot him an email.

BTW - I like bright lights as well and am constantly looking at your tails. Just waiting to pull the trigger when funds show up and other projects are complete.

That would be awesome if he could do white LEDs.

But with that would require some circuitry modifications I know. Different "colors" require different regulation to some degree.

That "when other projects are complete" part is what always gets in my way.
(Time and money)

Thank you and hope your a satisfied customer down the road.

I'd like to talk to Mike about possibly putting his banner on my site. I don't think if want to be a Distributer, but any extra resources I can provide my customers with the better ( of course after I get a set installed and like the results )

Thanks again !

This is a great discount on what, from what I can tell, is an outstanding product. It's all good, just wish I knew before the AIMExpo what booth to look for them in, to have the opportunity to provide a little more hands-on feedback to our team on here before now. But it's all good :)

I will buy a set, I will use them on the XB12 project. I liked some of the other products on the website as well. If these work out I will buy more, i have a LOT of projects and some of their products might work out well on some of my cafe racer projects. I also have two custom Nortons that will be on the show circuit soon. There is magazine interest in them, PM me for details if you might consider a deal for product placement.
Thanks for the great offer and work to put this together.
