Hi guys,
This is Mike from HighTechSpeed... just wanted to chime in on the thread so folks have my contact info and in case anyone has any questions.
Regarding the AIM show, I am bummed that people didn't find us... Zepto is the name of the product, our company name is HighTechSpeed. We were in Booth #609, right across from the Quad-Jetski combination thing, one row over from Yamaha. The booth was filled up with lights - and actually most of the lights are so bright that it's hard to see the product sometimes (like when someone shines a flashlight into your eye) - but we had an interactive set of Zepto lights installed in a glass case that you could press buttons and see them working, as well as three more sets mounted on a display on the wall.
One thing I just want to point out about the Zepto lights is the light output - their main feature. I looked at the Oberon lights and they look very nice. Very well machined and a top notch product all the way. I am sure anyone buying them would be happy. There is a massive brightness difference though. The Oberon lights use PLCC-4 SMD LED's which are the same ones we use in our Proton lights. Depending on the brand/model of LED, those LED's will put out 2 to 4 lumens each. With 8 per side (from what I can see on the Oberon), that would be about 32 lumens per signal. Brighter than many LED signals for sure.
The Zepto light uses three 2.5-watt Luxeon LED's that put out 185 lumens each. So each signal puts out over 550 lumens of light. For reference, most 1157 bulbs on high will output about 400 lumens of white light... and behind an amber lens, the light output will drop by more than half.
There is a comparison pic on our website of a pair of Zepto lights putting out about 10 times the light of an OEM Harley brake light. And actually, the yellow bike in the pics on our website is my Buell
with the Zeptos installed on the front.
