[mad] There goes my Kooks header, hope i can get it welded up somewhere.

That definitely sucks, but I was expecting to see a crumbled up tuber, so I'm glad to say is that it was just a repairable header. Love the bike!

I would just buy a new header but KOOKS doesn't make them anymore and nobody will sell them that have them. They make more HP then the buell pro series exhausts. But anyway glad you guys like my bike its a 2000 x1 Millennium #167/800. ]

YEAH WE STILL HAVE SNOW :( [mad]

How the hell does that happen?? Glad the bike itself isn't down. I don't know anything about the value of the header - but I think I'd rather see that than a down Buell!

yeah most of the snow is gone but still find it. Got up to 55 today. Rode 180 miles today. :D

Right when it happened it sounded like a sparkplug blew out of the head. Ran like crap and glad it happened a few miles from home and not when i was over in Wisconsin.

And now that i look at it I think the weld around the 02 bung had a weak spot. Looks like it started there and worked its way around.

well this sucks, local shop wants 70 bucks to weld up my header WTF!!! [mad][mad][mad]

if you want, not sure where your at but bring it up to me and i'll weld it for free. im up in cambridge. let me know.

Thanks man! ill keep you in mind, your about 2.5 hours away from me. Im in Austin Mn. Can you weld stainless steel?

yup. no problem, not much i havent welded. i need to make sure i have some ss filler rod in the garage though.

i would weld it up and use exhaust wrap on it and you will never know. i had the stud for the exhaust flanges break off in my front head. i drilled and tapped it out but it was a bitch!
Thomas

How bout this...'your bike with a broken header". :p again, just teasing. You should be able to get it welded but ask yourself why it broke in the first place. There must be something stressing it in that area. I had a ton of trouble with the Kerker aluminum baffle cracking on my GPz till I figured it out. Good luck, wayne
