What is the current state of XB tuning? I have a loose ends I would like to tie up.

I have not been able to follow up on my XB12Ss until now and it has been a few years off. I am hoping the tuning options have improved. Just put a battery and gas in it and put a few hundred awesome miles on it. I have the tunabuell kit with the Buelltooth and my current tune is a race tune...

Which Buell is for me? :)

If Buell does not make the exact bike you want you can just build it from the available factory and aftermarket parts. I always liked the Firebolt back half but thought the front looked like it had a goofy overbite, and I liked the Lightning front half but thought the back half looked like a bug...

    NRHS Stage 2 for 07 XB12R

I have a fairly similar engine build (just a bit more aggressive) and had gotten the tune acceptable on my own, but not perfect. When I did my engine build, I installed the race tune and upped it by 10% on fuel across the board. I did break in per Hammer's instructions and then started making...

    Buell xb12SS tailparts

I just bought all the carbon fiber parts and frame to convert my XB12Ss to a firebolt style in carbon. I will have all those parts you asked about available soon, I am sure we can work something out. I have a new seat as well to go with it.

    Anyone ever use heated gear?

2007 XB12Ss, 1 set of heated gear, anyone done this, was the electrical system sufficient?

Failure to Fire - After just riding a few times.

And to add another typical candidate, those plug wires age and fail, if they are the originals they are probably crap.

Buell XB ----how long can we keep em running?

The engine metal bits are all readily available as stock or upgrade types, the seals, gaskets, clutches, etc. others will exist forever thanks to the Sportster commonality. The electronics are not really failure prone and are plentiful from parted out bikes and worse case you could convert to an...

    Seats - what's the difference?

FYI, I have a fairly new standard height seat on my XB12Ss that I would love to trade for a low if anyone is interested.

    Heated Gloves Rec?

I ride ALLOT in the winter and have several sets. The one I prefer are branded with the Victory logo, not sure of the original supplier to Victory but they are well made and get so hot they can burn your knuckles if you leave it on max. Polaris is clearing out the Victory brand stuff cheap, I...

Howdy - Potential new Bueller coming from Ducati

Like gdisaac07 I have an XB12Ss and a EBR 1190 as well, the EBR is worlds apart from the Buell but the Buell has so much character and likeability that I can't imagine not owning both. I have quite a few mods into my XB12Ss (big bore, head porting, cams, exhaust, intake etc.) and it has allot...

    Paint Removal

Another killer product for shining it is to buy Novus pinball polish, start with #3, do most of the work with #2 and final polish with #1. I use this stuff on my pinball machines and classic gaming consoles and it is magic on Buell parts.

    It really is the ultimate

I have an EBR that can go much faster, and other bikes that are bigger or this or that, but the simple HD power plant in a compact chassis with excellent handling is what keeps me happy with my Buell and riding it often even with other options.

    Confirming S to SCG Setup

I'm 20 min down the road in Bealeton and am in Winchester often so shout out here and I would love to show up for a ride. One question to clarify the SCG suspension, the rear has a different spring and the front has the forks adjusted higher in the clamps, is this correct? Is there a part...

How are you doing the TPS reset, if done wrong all sorts of odd behavior can happen.

    winter engine build

I have one like this: http://www.aemelectronics.com/products/wideband-uego-air-fuel-controllers/wideband-failsafe-gauge I had it in my supercharged Lotus during some back and forth adjustments with the vendor and had removed it after verifying the tune so I had it on hand. ANY decent...

    winter engine build

I ran a standalone wideband 02 and verified I had healthy AFRs, and I did so other than a more sophisticated timing map I don't think I am leaving much if any power on the table. I really want to get it dyno'd just to know where I am at with HP/TQ gains but it runs so well I have just not...

    winter engine build

Earlier this year I did a build because I wanted to, and that was reason enough for me even though I have an EBR. The 1250 by itself isn't going to make allot of power, but as part of a system it does make total sense. That said I suggest the 1275 kit, more displacement for the same...
