    Lightning Tires

If you liked the grip/handling of the Power 3, you should definitely look into the road 5. It took me almost 8000 miles to get to the wear bars and I never had any issues with grip. They didn't care if it was wet, dry, hot or cool/cold.

Voltage Regulator died; any good sellers/products?

You should look into a regulator from either one of these companies. Roadstercycle.com or https://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/l/rectifier-regulators E...

Belt Life - The long walk home

Ummm...... As soon as that hits the belt tensioner or belt guards on your Buell, it will cause damage and probably lock up the rear wheel

Belt Life - The long walk home

I've had better luck with this brand of belt vs factory. I put the last one through 32,000 miles of blatant abuse before it broke. No guards, dirt/gravel roads, short shifting, minor wheelies, and hard enough braking to completely unload the rear suspension...

Highest speed achieved on an XB?

Maybe clutch slipping or not adjusted correctly......?? I can hit 110mph easily with my GF on the back(combined weight 340lbs) and it's not even topped out.

Off Topic: Moving to Colorado, Denver Area from West Coast. Any thoughts?

My family moved from the Portland area to the Colorado mountains, just west of Denver, 28yrs ago. Best decision my parents could have ever made. Your basically trading around 300 days of crummy weather for around 300 days of sunshine. The Denver area has become a giant melting pot of...

    December canyon ride....

First part of the vid used to be my commute.

    December canyon ride....

Little brisk at 40 degrees, roads were a little dirty, still had a blast riding 65 miles of curvy roads.

    New to 06 XB12S

Nice find, wish I could have picked up mine that cheap. You really lucked out on the exhaust, one of the best made and hardest to find. Frame damage looks to be relatively minor in the pictures. Little bondo, some paint, a pair of frame pucks and your good to go. Because of the age, first...

vibration on my buell handle bars are bad .

I have my handle bars filled with BBs. Never noticed any affect on handling and my right hand no longer goes numb on longer rides.

    Mileage please...

2006 XB12Ss - 39,xxx miles last 6 months: only 1500 miles :( Been a light year, tend to put 5000-7000 miles on during the summer.

    Lightning long

Forgot to mention, I had a stock seat shaved an inch to try and help with getting my feet on the ground. Didn't really help at all and it killed the ergonomics of the bike for me. Bike went from being a perfect fit, to rides over 30min started bothering my back and legs.

    Lightning long

No idea how it would be for a passenger, almost no padding on the back part of the seat. Plus a cool little logo saying no pass. allowed. I use the stock seat for the rare occasions I have a pass.

    Lightning long

I've put over 30,000 miles on my Ss and looking forward to the next 30,000 plus miles. :) I'm only 5'7" and use an urban assault seat on mine 95% of the time. It's easier for me to touch the ground with it then a stock seat.

    Just a oil question?

^^sounds more like Harley's screaming eagle oil..... I've been using Lucas full synthetic 20w-50 for the last 20,xxx miles and have been very happy with it. Bike shifts better, runs better, runs cooler, and will even rev up faster. That all tells me the oil is doing it's job:D For ~10.00 a...

New Buell owner, laundry list of issues

"Hi" from a fellow Colorado Bueller :) I would start with the fuel pump problem, mine left me stranded 30 miles from home. Had a wire worn through at the pump, repaired it and have put another 24,xxx miles on without a problem. Front brake: I just pulled my rotor, cleaned everything very well...

    Sudden Increase in Fuel Economy

Interesting, didn't realize the 08+ bikes mpg was worse. Tempting to try the same oils and see if I notice any difference in my mpg.
