    Sudden rough idle and backfires

So I recently bought a 2005 xb9sx with ~7k miles on it and it ran beautifully. Last week, changed the engine/primary oil for the first time and rode it about 25 miles after without issues. I went away for the weekend and today when I fired her up she was idling strangely (normally constant...

I'm based in Cleveland/Cincinnati 50/50 about. Pretty sure there's another Cleveland guy too (ronmetzler?).

    Value?

With the prices these days, I would just keep looking rather than take a chance on this one - unless you can get it for super cheap (~1k).

Wow, that rattle can paint job on the frame looks pretty good. Might try it myself at some point.

    I fail at wrenches

So when I want to brake do I squeeze the left or right? I'm so confused!!

Was referring more to MacBuell. If an internet forum post pisses you off, you need to relax.

    I fail at wrenches

Doesn't bother me - I took the rest of the mirror out later in the day. What's the point of the forum if not to ask questions about these bikes? To ridicule Harley guys and people who don't know things about Buells? Nice.

    I fail at wrenches

I didn't get much road time with the mickey mouse ears. I've only had the bike for a couple weeks. I have the oberons flipped under now - if I try to look in them while riding, my arm is directly in the way. ;o) Gonna flip them up and try that out tomorrow.

    I fail at wrenches

Oberons came today. Installed them and they look great. Aside from not being able to see shit out of them while riding, they're perfect! ;o)

    Locking up your Bolt

Yup. If it came down to it I wouldn't shoot someone who was just stealing my bike... but they don't need to know that. ;)

Thanks for the tool tips snrusnak - I'm doing pretty much what you suggested. Buying craftsman stuff as I need it. Since they have a lifetime warranty I figure it's worth the extra cash. That post in yellow is just what was there after unscrewing the mirror... I'm assuming that thing probably...

    Locking up your Bolt

    It's all about deterrence. [up][up]

    Locking up your Bolt

If someone wants it bad enough, the bike will be stolen. You just gotta get something that will be enough of a deterrent based upon where you keep your bike and what kind of neighborhood you live in. I bought a Xena XX6 disc lock and park my bike behind my car in my garage with the forks...

Hey Red93stang, as we discussed via pm, I'd like to officially put myself down for a blank (no pegasus) hero blue one next time you make a batch if possible.

    I fail at wrenches

Cool, thanks snrusnak. Bought some allen wrenches today and now have an excuse to go buy some pliers. :D
