WTB xb12r that's either not running or parts bike

Hey cooter, thanks for the link. I'm really looking to get into a complete rebuild on an xb12r, not a 9. No offense to the 9r, but I like the 1200 a lot better.

WTB xb12r that's either not running or parts bike

Pretty much says it all. I'd like to get into a salvaged, busted up, non running but complete bike that needs a little or a lot of TLC. Looking to rebuild or restore and am in no rush to do it. I'm interested in hearing what kind of jacked up messes of a bike you've got for sale (Buell xb12r...

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

Let me clarify something, I double grounded from the negative ground directly to the frame, never did I think that the ECM wasn't getting a good ground based on the fact that I thought the ECM was directly grounded to the negative ground towards the back of the bike. Turns out, nope.

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

Update Ground issue. ECM ground was no good. Moved grounding directly to frame, reset AVF and TPS, then took it out for a 20 mile test run - no CEL. I was thrilled. Thank you for everyone's help on this!

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

I didn't get a chance to get into the garage last night, I will tonight after work though. I will post my results when I get the plugs pulled. In response to Jasenko, the bike wasn't completely warmed up. I was using the propane torch idea after it had cooled down for an hour or so. You're...

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

old plugs looked fine. Rear cylinder, if I remember correctly, looked like it was running lean. I hadn't replaced the O2 sensor at that point yet. It's been replaced now though.

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

TPS reset, a few times. Swapped plugs in Appleton last year, forgot about that. Can check them although there is only going to be like 25 miles on them.

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

Not sure if this is normal for the EC13, but this is only happening once the bike gets warm and I'm out riding - usually about 5 miles in the CEL will flash and then the bike runs like crap. Once it cools down, it's back to running normal again. While this is going on, the idle hangs at or...

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

watched the idle and listened for it. No changes that I could see.

ok, propane torch. No change in idle.

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

ok, I got down and looked all up in there. Looks untouched. I didn't really do anything to that part of the engine. Is there a fairly easy way to check like spraying some starting fluid or something up in there?

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

The fuel pump sounds the same as always and the injectors were untouched (I was just reading denmarks inector issues and will check if needed) Thank you!!!!

XB12R - Err Code 13 - Demons under the hood

I've only posted a few times before, and what I've got now is a bit of a mouthful, so please bear with me. If you read to the end, kudos. I'd skim to the issue I'm having if you don't want the whole dang story. 6/2/11 Riding on my way to a remote hospital to do some work and I'm just about...

I'd wheel mine out too...but.... they're out getting powder coated :)

    XB12R Frame / chassis replacement

I would also like to add that since the bike is totaled, I'm not terribly concerned about a clean title for the frame, but that would be nice. Beggars can't be choosers though.

    XB12R Frame / chassis replacement

Good morning fellow Buellers, I have a question for the forum. I was recently involved in a wreck in which a young gal pulled out in front of me. Apart from being banged up and bruised, with a shoulder that just isn't what it once was, I'm ok. My bike however, was totaled. I believe I can get it...

Back with D&Ds damn this is loud!

I bought my 04XB12R simply based on the torque and sound it made with that D&D exhaust. With that said, my D&D Exhaust broke a few months ago, I shot an e-mail off to D&D in Texas and long story short - they sent me a brand spanking new exhaust in exchange for my old one, no questions asked...

New to the forum... Love the buell, hate this problem

spymac, can I ask how much all of that cost you? I'm fearing that my fuel pump is going bad as the sound it makes is inconsistent (the pitch changes from time to time) and when compared to another XB12R, the pitch is again, different. Thank you again, -J
