1125CR Overhaul and Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

The clear plastic lens on the face has a crack in the lower right corner (that doesn't affect visibility and doesn't seem to let water in, but it bothered me) and the tach needle disengaged and doesn't move—it just sits there at 0. Just sitting on my desk if you want it. $20.

1125CR Overhaul and Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

It's really worth it especially if you're in Vegas. I would say that for less than $75, performing these tasks made a difference in cooling: • distilled water + Red Line Water Wetter • replacing the frame insulation (whenever you rotate the engine next) • buying a Buelltooth and loading...

1125CR Overhaul and Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

Thanks guys. I would say that the LED headlight upgrade was a great move. I was on the fence for a while, but seeing how far LED lighting has come in the past couple of years, it was worth a shot. The HID kit I had in before drew quite a few amps, especially with the high beam on. Waiting for...

1125CR Overhaul and Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

I took the engine out of the frame over the winter and did some major overhaul maintenance items: • 3M CF vinyl wrapped flyscreen, front fender, radiator covers, and rear fender • New oil/filter • Cleaned bottom oil screen • Adjusted valves • Recharged K&N air filter • New brake and clutch...

    First of the Last

I like it a lot! The SX headlight looks great over on the XB, and the LED DRLs are sharp. Super clean job.

    WTB Buell clubman Handlebars (1125cr)

I've got your clubmans: $70 plus whatever it takes to get them to ya. I'm in MD.

Been 4 months, and the CR hasn't skipped a beat - Now Exhaust--

Here's what my buddy and I came up with after i got rid of my Barker's (doh!) and wanted the same thing you did: a little more bark. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/763390.html?1434374353

    Best tail eliminator for 1125CR

Not really, maybe marginally. I got them (TechSpec brand) because I was sliding forward during hard braking so I needed more grip for my legs. Work great. I've since removed them for looks but will probably throw them back on soon.

    Best tail eliminator for 1125CR

Jardine's is simple and cheap enough. Can't go wrong.

OEM parts off my '09 1125CR

Having a garage sale this weekend: time to clear out some room! I'm located near Hampstead, MD for those that prefer to drive on by. Also, yard sale. Saturday. Maybe Sunday. Respond to this thread or PM me for inquiries. I WILL add pictures soon! Everything has dust on it at the moment and I'm...

    Integrated CR Headlight

Lots of hard work put in here: nice work, SEXT9. I've wanted to retro some HIDs into my CR (but go dual projector Morimoto minis, whatever would fit), but the replacement CR headlights to mess with are no cheap ticket! Some day. Thanks for posting it.

Remove and Replace Oil Cooler Lines

You shouldn't need a special tool for these: when I did mine, I carefully used a small standard screwdriver (or a dental pick if you have one) and pulled the little C-clip out. Then you can carefully pull the line directly out of the fitting. Notice the 'carefully' sprinkled in there ... don't...

Does anybody else's CR have a low beepig sound after shutoff?

Mine will do that for a few minutes after a ride. Coworker's coming up to me after a lunch ride: "you know you're bike's beeping, right?" Usually once every minute or two up to ten minutes after shutoff, and as others have stated it's to keep the fuel lines primed... you'll hear a little beep...

    Throttle Sticks and Loses acceleration

Do you think the O2 sensor is a separate issue? You still had binding in the throttle, right? The "pop" you heard was a mechanical one, or exhaust backfire? The backfire or any hiccup with the motor leads me down your O2 sensor route, but that didn't seem to fix it. Check the pins in the...

Hey Evan, I run the stock ECM, unfortunately. It runs okay as-is, though—just a bit of popping if I punch down a gear while high on the tach, but not an obnoxious backfire. Just a few tasteful hiccups. I don't have any dead spots or trouble running it on the stock mapping, but it could sure use...

    Throttle Sticks and Loses acceleration

I'd serioulsy check your throttle cable routing for any hang ups, especially to the right/underneath the intake snorkel opening. Don't want that guy to be erratic while leaned over—be careful out there. Also take the airbox out and look at the throttle body linkages and make sure everything...

    Bar end mirrors

I have the ones that goose posted above on my CR, they work great. Black anodizing starts to fade to a gunmetal after a few years in the sun—still look great, though.

    I'm not racist

Bagger that looks great. I did the plasti-dip route to see if I was going to like it... thinking of going permanent either by finding used white plastics online or just painting like you did. did you have any trouble working with the plastic bodywork? i know i have to bend the tail section a...

    I'm not racist

I just Plasti-Dipped mine from red to white/black. I agree with the CR color sentiments!

Modified stock exhaust (pics & video)

I'll try to take some close ups of my goofs so you can see what I mean, especially the peeling at mask seams and bubbling. The Tech-Spec airbox pads for my knees really induced a lot of peeling around them, since I didn't want to remove them like the rest of the stickers on the bike (all of...
