A buddy of mine recently got a 1900 stratoliner and wants to see how it runs against my bolt. I personally don't think he stands a chance. But another friend told me that the stratoliner has insane power and he thinks my bolt won't keep up with it at all. What does everyone here think?

I hope not, but then again it would be a good excuse to upgrade to the 1125r.

I'm not sure what engine they run in the the Stratoliner....My friend has a Raider and that is NO problem for my XB9SX to handle. A V-max...well... I'm history against him in a STRAIGHT line or hi-way!!

Honestly it would depend on a lot.. type of race? dig or roll? how good of a rider is he?

My money is on the Bolt,Thats one big bike and from a dead stop by time your friend gets going your in second gear and gone :D

He wanted to see how they matched from a 5-10mph roll and how the midranges compared (in a straight line), I'm sure from a hole shot I would destroy him or on a curvy road, not sure how the top ends would compare though.

That 'liner should be up around 110lb feet of torque. I would assume that it would destroy the 9 in any kind of drag race and possibly a 12 even. It has a stunningly flat torque curve so I'd guess it'll pull like a train up until the plateau of torque drops. Personally I wouldn't race the thing in a straight line at all.

doesn't matter son. either way you win. if you lose the race you just tell the freightliner rider "you're supposed to win with 916 more CC."
if YOU win you respond with "see..i told you 1900cc doesn't always beat 984cc." it's a race you can't lose. and what self-respecting manufacturer names one of their street-bikes StratoLiner anyway. jeesh!
