Ive had this bike for a couple years and the Hibeam has never worked but the lo beam works fine. Decided to replace the bulb this spring and found that the bulb wasnt the problem. When I attempted to turn the hi beam on with the new bulb installed the hi bean indicator no longer would come on. The indicator had worked previously. I pulled the light fuse to check it and reinstall and found that the indicator light would come on, but would go out as soon as I plugged the blub in and would stay out until I pulled the fuse. The dim marker light that sits between the hi beam and lo beam bulb also went out both times along with the indicator. Anyone have any Ideas, Im stumped.

Main clue. Euro-spec only "running light" not traditionally active on NA 2003 models. Headlight assembly wiring harness probably fiddled with by some near-do-well.

CORRECT HARNESS FACTORY APPLICATION:
BLACK---COMMON GROUND
YELLOW---LOW BEAM CIRCUIT
WHITE---HIGH BEAM CIRCUIT
ORANGE---COMMON POSITIVE FEED FOR EURO-SPEC RUNNING LIGHT
H7---CORRECT OEM BULB #

You are correct, someone did switch the wires around. The actual problem was a poor fit between the fuse and fuse receptacle.
