So yes it would seem that there are few programs you can use to change your ecm on the 09 buell xb12r and of course if you dont have all the info at first it just makes everything that much harder to find out. Well its real easy.
For 09 Buell XB12R
All you need to do in my case is simply change the exhaust and leave the servo for the exhaust manifold connected and your bike will tune its self, however in my case I did need to replace one set of plugs but after that everything just kept getting better and better. I do still have an check engine light but it cause I was riding with out the servo connected from the exhaust manifold. However what I did do is simply crack open the Servo housing and remove the circuit board and seal it with an acrylic electronics sealer and wrap it with electrical tape once I had connected it and hid it where ever it would fit. And if it makes you feel more comfortable you could always take your bike to a Buell friendly dealer and have them check your ECM they can still view the maps and errors and clear any errors you may have had. Keep in mind that some error clear on their own after 50 "trips".
I am not saying that this is the "Best" way to do it but it has worked in my case and everything seems to be going fine. And the friendly mechanics at my local Mancuso Harley dealer agree that it will all be ok.
