2010 Buell LED brake light in an '09 XB12Ss

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

I have an L.E.D. tail light from the 2010 XB12Ss that I want to get rid of.

It's in it's original box and is brand new except I cut the 2010 connector off of it because I was going to splice it onto my 2009 model. I later changed my mind and never hooked it up. The 2010 connector doesn't fit any other year and the quick-disconnects are much better insulated anyway.

HD part# Y0401.7AC
HD price is $57 + +
I'll sell it $37 delivered.

Here's another picture:

Send me a PM if you want it.
Thanks,
Joe

[up] Good deal. I've already got one from Harley sitting in my garage [sad] otherwise I'd be all over this. Sometimes I can't beleive how much people pay for the aftermarket clear lenses and/or LED taillights, when there's a perfectly affordable OEM option that IMO looks way better.

I have a clear lens with the red bulb if anyone is interested. Its brand new only opened to confirm that it wasn't broke during shipping.

If you would have looked up ^^^^^ you would have seen this picture.

Just thought I'd throw in with pics of this mod on my bike:

Now I may have to go hunting clear turn signals...

For turn signals integrated, go to Robert at xblights.net

Even brighter than the Buell LED unit, and customizable, including license plate light, light pattern, etc.

And he uses the stock light casing, minus the lens.

The advantage to the Buell unit is the DOT certification that Robert, like any other aftermarket unit, doesn't have.

Having searched for a while, can we sticky this so we have it for a quick reference? I found it very usefull to see now that I am doing my Upgraded LED Tail Light....

is there a smoke lens option for this 2010 buell led mod? i like that these are true leds and you get the full effect of their detail...meaning they dont have to fight through a lens, they are crisp and not distorted....no im not high just hard to explain...lol

I sold half of my 2010 led taillight to a member local to me, I only wanted the clear lens, he is using the 03-09 red lens over the led setup. It looks pretty good. Just buy one and cut the clear lens off and use your stock lens, or buy a smoked stock lens.
