I just realized that I have never posted any pics of my bike on the forum and since I just got it all gussied up and back on the road thought now would be a good time. I figure if anybody would be interested in having a look it would be you guys.

It started life as a Cherry Bomb red model (which I never really liked all that much) which the previous owner decided to cover with black Plasti-Coat. I was able to remove that crap with a little heat and some patients but the finish on the translucent red parts was ruined. So I decided to paint it myself and because I'm a cheap SOB did it with Rattle cans. To my surprise it actually turned out pretty decent considering my lack of skill and low quality materials. I laid the stripes down myself and created my own decals using Adobe Illustrator and an ALPS printer (it prints white for those that don't know).

I also threw on some new tires and added a new battery and its ready for another few years of trouble free riding (fingers crossed).

Anyway, here's the pictures:

What RH scoop is that? Its not the uber rare 2010 scoop and not the Ulysses scoop. Aftermarket?

Good job on repainting the air box cover, especially with spray paint. I have a feeling you're holding back on your skills.

Most people get a razzing (and rightfully so) when then spray paint their motorcycle. You sir, get a tip of the hat. Nicely done!

Thanks!

That scoop is some fiberglass aftermarket scoop that the previous owner installed and it started to crack badly so I've resorted to the previous owners trick with the Plasti-Coat sprayed on the inside to kind of keep it from disintegrating any further. So far that has worked but I have the stock one in the parts bin just in case.

That glue or whatever it is that one applies then hits it with the ultraviolet light works great, it's holding my license plate holder together on the Ully and it's rock solid !

Oh, I forgot to mention, I got rear ended a couple of years ago and the license plate holder took the brunt of it.
