if the stang can be compared to the camaro with it i/s then it can be compared to vette and all euro and asian inports.the camaro is bigger and weighs more and has i/s if comparing the stang and camaro is fair then comparing it with any vechicle with over 300 hp is fair.it just dosnt perform overall it slightly faster in the 1/4 than import 6 cylinders and slower than the bigger camaro and slower vette.imo and known specs
If you don't like the Mustang that is perfectly fine, everyone has their preferences, but stop trying to compare it to such ridiculous "competitors".
A person shopping for a Mustang, Camaro, or Charger is not at all interested in a mid engine European/Asian sports car (not that I have a problem with any of those).
Your prejudice against the Mustang is blatantly obvious.
The only imports that could ever be considered alongside a Mustang to someone looking for that kind of car are maybe the Hyundai Genisis coupe, and
maybe a 2dr BMW, although that's stretching it pretty far.
The Mustang is not a world class sports car and it was never meant to be. It's a "muscle car", that means its a reasonably fast, reasonably affordable, fun car that almost anyone can own. Comparing it to a Lotus, Porsche or the like is just plain foolish. A Boxter makes a pretty lousy car to pick up kids from school in you know, but it wasn't designed for that was it?
Want a good comparison, you drive a Lotus every day for a full year and I'll drive a Mustang. That means running errands, commuting to work, driving the kids around, fighting traffic and hitting potholes; rain, shine or snow. I bet you good money by the end of the year I'll be the one still loving my car and you'll know all to well that you've made a poor choice for a car outside of the racetrack.
