The skinny rear tire reduces weight and rolling resistance: hence the range figures.
I agree about the aesthetic though.

The Buell influence I was talking about was Abe.

It does remind me of the blast, but it's electric and it's making great strides with each year of development.

Interesting but if range is the biggest problem why don't they put some kind of small fairing on it like on the xbr's....

just enough to keep the weight down but add some aerodynamics.
