A strange buzzing??

I just purchased an 05 XB12s used and I started noticing a weird buzzing noise while the bike was running. At first I thought it was just the fuel pump priming but then I realized that it didn't stop ever it just got a little softer. Has anyone out there experienced this before? I would sure appreciate the help. Also I pulled of the windshield to splice my lights to run both on high and found a random orange wire cut and no where for it to go, I'm stumped?

it's the fuel pump, nothing to worry about.

Is that maybe the parking light wire? In the states ours dont come with one, maybe the previous owner cut it off. You can check and see by looking under and behind the headlight housing, there should be a small gray plug that is empty. It should look like a small "peanut" bulb will fit, if its gone...thats probably the culprit
