oh yeah have a question for both you and 50-Dro why do you want or make the spool rear slider. unless im wrong they are only good if your using tire warmers because other then that you cant use them to take the tire off now don't get me wrong they look cool and i am not bagging on you or 50-Dro just some times i try to figure out the method behind the madness
spools are fast and easy tire warmers, oil changes, washing, any kind of maintance other than taking the rear tire off.
Paddles are ok for removing the tire but no where near as stable.

^^^what he said. Thanks RT!

I make the standard ones too. Just options. I might add that Spooled lifting is quicker too. Thanks for asking!

Hey Jobe are you buying that alarm? If so let me know how it works. Seems everytime I park my bike in a parking lot with the steering locked. I'll come back like an hour later with my bike on the other side of the parking Lot.

Got it on e-bay from China. I wanted a Xena but most my expense's are going out on my truck atm. I went with a cheaper alternative. I hope it work's. If not I will have a killer paper weight! My only concern is... the little flat batteries they use. Not sure how long they last. Also sucks I cant use rechargeable batteries. The alarm should arrive in a week or 2. I will let everybody know how it works. :D

After many hours of debate I am going with this integrated rear tail/signal light. Now the question is....smoked or clear??? Or...clear centers with black tint paint on the trim around the lights. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

ACIDBATH i took my headlight bezels off with a heat gun from the inside, sprayed adhesion promoter and then satin blacked them, they look brand new, if you use the heat gun properly, the bezels will just "lift " out with very little single finger pressure on the lip, i beleive you can buy the stock ones if you order them?, so be caareful...

jobe, i just spent an hour reading all of this, i learned a lot about how some of the people who have commented on my thread are.. i am not the type of person to give you my opinion unless you ask for it, on your bike, or your thread.. i did like your muffler sound, i have the same muffler with the regular tip on it, but i like how yours sounds better.... also i do think your pulley cover was pretty cool. i wouldnt do it to my bike cuz its not my style, but i do like it and i like how you offer to do it for other people... i do not form opinion on people either, without experiencing things first hand, so my opinions on you as well as the people you "butt heads with" remains the same, until anyone does anything rude or offensive to me, there ok in my book.. i will only give unfiltered input to you if you ask, and if i ask anyone for an honest oopinion, i would appreciate just that... if i dont ask, please keep negative stuff to yourself... look all you want. hope everyone enjoys there upcoming weekend. ride safe and i know i probbly made spelling errors, its ok, im fairly certain no ones day will be ruined because of it. :D[up]

Does anybody want to buy my rear led setup? Includes both turn signals, clear brake lens, custom led license light and a 36 led brake/running light. I think $45 .00 for everything is a good deal.

also i think it was this thread, someone mentioned not being able to get lacquer clear, or it bein :banned in the u.s.a" that was incorrect, i know where to get some.[cool]

Lacquer is banned in Wisconsin. (beside's spray bombs) I did a satin mix with regular poly. It didn't hold up very well with salty roads. Started to bubble so I wet sanded and sprayed with high gloss. Jason...do you have any suggestions on how to spray a durable satin without lacquer? Or a place to order a pre-mixed satin gloss with a lacquer base? I am having a hard time with this minor issue. Thanks.

No such thing as a satin gloss. The word you're looking for is sheen, my friend. And no not Charlie or Martin for that matter :)

Yayee! I got my first speeding ticket of the year! 75 in a 40mph zone. $245.00 well spent :( The cop did give me a [up] for having my gear on. I wish he would have gave me a warning instead. LOL! So which radar dectector really works? This guy clocked me coming from the other lane while he was moving. This is new to me. I thought they couldnt clock you unless there not moving. He explained to me the new technology. What a bunch of BS. I had all the spots memorized were the cops sit. Now I have to look out for them while they are driving to? This guy clocked me 100 yards away before I could even tell it was a cop. His cop buddie behind him radioed me in as well. wtf! A speeding sting operation with two cops! What has this world become?

That sux. That's a whole buncha points on your license, and just wait for insurance to find out :///
Imagine all the vents you could've gotten for $245 :p lol

lol the second cop, was to csatch speeders that thought it was safe because the other cop had someone pulled over, they work in threesomes and foursomes out here dude! ive seen them standin in the center median with there hand out like stop, and pointing anyone on there cellphone or with no seat belt or headlight out, over to the buddy on the side... like a friggin drive through ticket stop! LAME.. they do it at my work around 530 am when people are on there way in...
jobe.. as far as the "satin sheen" i know of two ways, you spray on the clear and use a heavy cut rubbing compound on a random orbital buffer... and then skip the medium and fine cut, or start with the medium or fine cut and then stop before the swirl remover , and then polish gets skipped too. or you could just do it by hand with a compound pad, that NEVER gets it as glossy/deep as a powered buffer/polisher.. or you could just do a clear with sandin afterward with 2000 grit, there shouldnt be any visible swirls because the grit is so fine.. i was sanding with 1500 before buffing and the clear was flat, with no swirls.. i also know of a "dulling spray" that you spray over clear, but im not sure how that would fair in weather.. we use it on sets.. to make things not "flash" when the camera is on them.. because other than that you would use "satin" clear? wich beleive only comes in a krylon can... which.. i only use on shelves i make out of crown molding and the kanaba waxem.. i will look into the dulling spray for you tomorrow when i am at work.. l.y.k. a.s.a.p.. [up]

LOL! I think I am all vented out fully ATM. I am going to try to buy a new Speedometer before the court date and show the receipt to the judge. Maybe I will get it dis-missed. Fingers crossed :)

Thanks for the useful info. Hmmmmm didnt think about just wet sanding the sheen down.

glad i could help brother! id tryem all on a random peicea plastic n see whatcha like best. definately start at 2000 tho. n try the fine cut... otherwise just sanding will leave it with NO sheen. flat

lol buellgaza, good one! nice to see some "playful" teasin goin on here too!
