lol the second cop, was to csatch speeders that thought it was safe because the other cop had someone pulled over, they work in threesomes and foursomes out here dude! ive seen them standin in the center median with there hand out like stop, and pointing anyone on there cellphone or with no seat belt or headlight out, over to the buddy on the side... like a friggin drive through ticket stop! LAME.. they do it at my work around 530 am when people are on there way in...
jobe.. as far as the "satin sheen" i know of two ways, you spray on the clear and use a heavy cut rubbing compound on a random orbital buffer... and then skip the medium and fine cut, or start with the medium or fine cut and then stop before the swirl remover , and then polish gets skipped too. or you could just do it by hand with a compound pad, that NEVER gets it as glossy/deep as a powered buffer/polisher.. or you could just do a clear with sandin afterward with 2000 grit, there shouldnt be any visible swirls because the grit is so fine.. i was sanding with 1500 before buffing and the clear was flat, with no swirls.. i also know of a "dulling spray" that you spray over clear, but im not sure how that would fair in weather.. we use it on sets.. to make things not "flash" when the camera is on them.. because other than that you would use "satin" clear? wich beleive only comes in a krylon can... which.. i only use on shelves i make out of crown molding and the kanaba waxem.. i will look into the dulling spray for you tomorrow when i am at work.. l.y.k. a.s.a.p..
