I live in a city. Long Beach, Ca. I've been keeping my eyes peeled the last few days. Haven't seen them at all. Just got a call from my insurance. They said the the impact was so hard that it did damage the frame. Mounting points here and there are cracked/bent. The bike actually landed hard enough on its side that the frame puck was completely destroyed, and the frame still cracked on its side. My seat rails shattered, but so did the mounting points for the seat rails. I can't even imagine the level of engine damage. And I slid with the bike for about 50 feet down the street. Even the seat got cracked down the middle. Believe me, if there was a way I can receive full value for her and still get to keep her, I'd jump on that. But I need every penny I can get to get another motorcycle asap. Especially if I'm trying to get another Buell. So I think the best I can do is try to get the information for where the insurance is going to stash it to get auctioned. Then I'll release that information here on the forum. But looking at her after the accident. I think the only parts that can be salvaged off her are maybe the headlight assembly, gauge cluster, flyscreen, maybe the rims(doubtful), front brake caliper(possibly brake cylinder and line too), air filter, and some internal parts i.e. rotor, stator, rectifier, wire harness(possibly), heads, and that's prob just about it. I wouldn't reuse anything else on that Buell.
