Sorry to start another grip thread, but I am looking for larger diameter grips and not really getting anywhere with my search.

I used to always use the cheap foam ones and slip them over the stock grips, and that worked well. Well I can't get them to slip over these buell grips and ended up tearing two and then gave up.

I need larger diameter grips because my hands get sore very easily, mainly my left hand from a surgery I had.

Any help appreciated.

maybe try wrapping them with some bicycle handlebar tape. there are a bunch of options and materials to choose from. head to your local bike shop to see what they have.

Joel 9 These are the ones i use and i love them and i have had hand surgery also along with being very old,and ASB sells them really cheap[up]

Thanks I think I'll try them out. If they don't help I'll try some sort of grip wrap.

Do you know the outer diameter of them?

I have those grips, in my opinion they are only a slight improvement over the stock ones.

This is what I use. I think they are fresh, live, play and dope.:D

Oh and they are only about $15.00 [up]

Lesley those are the ones I used to use and slip them over the stock grips to get a thick diameter grip. I can't get them over my buell grips though, ended up ripping two then gave up.

I can't imagine them slippin over another grip. Grab- on does sell a slip on cover style that goes over regular handlegrips.

Just trying to help as I like them big grips too for my boney hands.LOL I have never found or seen a larger type grip.

Thanks I'll look into grab on as well.

It is a bitch to slip them on, but I was able to do it with soap/water and air compressor, on my suzuki anyway. I tried on the buell and I guess the buell ones are just too big. The suzuki grips may have been thinner.

It's just so rough on my left hand, I can deal with the right one, but my left hand can't take it, it is very weak. The clutch doesn't help either.

The ASB Gel Thick Grips are about 36mm in the middle and about 34mm on the ends. I have them on both Buells and am very happy with them, and you can't beat the price.

Which grips Loki? Larger diameter?

Thanks for the dimensions williegoat. Stock grips appear to be about 32mm so if these other options don't work out I could give those a shot.

I also need bigger grips. Anything over a hour the vibrations in the throttle grip make my hand feel like it has no circulation. I did a 3 hour numbing ride this sunday to realize i need something to isolate.

I'll let you know how the grab on grip covers work out for me. RyanExtra is sending me a set(thanks) so I'll see how they work.

If they happen to not be enough then I may try the asb gel grips(and also maybe with the grip covers).
