Anyone have issues with ebay bar ends coming off?

Just had one fall off today while riding. I tried the electrical tape around the tighteners, but I still had to "re-tighten" them once a week, and they never did fit very well. I must have waited to long to check them today, b/c when I got home for lunch I only had one on the bike.I've been messing with the other one I have to see if there's anyway to get it on there so it doesn't require constant maintenance, but I'm not having any luck.

What size is the internal collar? The ad says it fits internal diameter bars up to 18mm...our stock bars are 19mm. The 19mm collars I got with my Oberon's fit like a glove inside the stock bar (but are too big for crossroads bars...looks like those take either 17 or 18mm).

They look like Oberon clones...and Oberon says you can torque the piss out of them to tighten them down without causing damage...how tight are you making these?

Try taking the two alu. tubes and cut one of the slits all the way across. This should let them expand more.

putting some loctite on the bolts would probably help them from loosening over time as well.

i tried the tape fix and wasnt happy with the secureness of the mirror. So i made up a new clamp at work. pics are towards the bottom

Whent to the hardware store and got some clear rubber hose. It worked perfectly.
