I've got a 2010 LED brake light about to go on. Plus another set of flush mount blinkers. My friends that know me well say I have a lumens fetish. :D

ok.... so my total LED's on the bike now comes to:

88 in my home made tail light.
18 in each of the Turn Signals (72 total)
2 in the License plate bolts
one Tirefly on each wheel

That's 164 LED's total.... what you got with that new tail going in total?

I may have to go copy Ramjr55's idea of putting the LED's in the windscreen. especially with my flame windscreen :)

Nicely done!! Told ou everyone would like it better if you finished it ;)

Oh and DAve i'm in the process of doing the windscreen light u as well. Ill send you a pic.

Awesome onelogue! Autozone sells a directional strip(which is what I used). It would let you mount it out of sight and project the light onto the windscreen.

rndrkeagle, I'm going to have to count, but it sounds like you have more than me by a long shot. [sad]

Dave are you a Trucker by heart?????

I do enjoy a nicely lit rig! But it's not the lights that makes me like the 18 wheelers. I love it when they have the massive 10" smoke stacks!

dave I like the idea, is this what you used?
led ribbon from oznium?

currently have some lying around for a project on my Lex.

I used a "Pilot Phantom 18" LED strip" from autozone. That was the only place I could find the thin strips(3mm). Everyone else has 8mm wide stuff. This is what they call "side view" LED strips.

Dave, nice origonal idea. Kudos for being different.

If it were me, Id go back to having only 6 LEDs on each side and make them my turn signals. Im doing something similiar with fork covers on my fighter build. I'll have pics in a few weeks after i get things finished up a bit.

Wow, I just saw this thread and I gotta agree that it looks really good. I like the Audi headlights and when I saw your drawing, I was a little skeptical. Your first set of pictures looked really good, but now that you finished it up, it looks awesome. Great idea Dave.

Thanks Jacob! I just was my refection in a building on sunday, and I was impressed. It makes me more visible from the side too, which is a big plus. We'll see how long they last.

Pockets, great sn BTW! you could always do 4" strips on the tops of your headlights looking like angry eyebrows.

Thanks, it's my nickname. I'm thinking about running a row along the bottom of my flyscreen.

so i started putting the led's in and the freaking solder joints came loose... i cant solder that well so i'm gonna order another pair.

It's easy if you have the helping hands tool from radio shack.

Make sure you scratch the fake solder pads off first. Test them before you install.
